Fairfield FFA hosts Farm Safety Day

0

Farm equipment could be heard all morning from the classroom as members Monday as Fairfield FFA students moved in their piece of equipment for Farm Safety Day. This event is a way for elementary students to get out of class and come see all the big machinery they see in the fields. There were FFA members who lead the elementary students to the stations where another FFA member would teach them about the machinery and all the safety features it has and how to keep yourself safe around that piece equipment. There was a pedal tractor pull that the kids could participate in. When it was time for them to go back to class all the students got a popsicle, said thanks, and headed back to school. In one photo, Alex Greene helps a student learn to rope. In the other photo, elemantary students stand around the pigs at Farm Safety Day.
