Local students on Shawnee honors lists

Several area students have been named to the president’s list at Shawnee State University for the 2017 spring semester. They are:

From Hillsboro – Jared Bishop, digital simulation and gaming; and Melinda Black, fine arts, painting.

From Seaman – Christa Young, occupational therapy assistant; and Veronica Young, psychology.

To be named on the list, students must be full-time and have achieved a grade point average of 4.0.

Several area students have also been named to the dean’s list at Shawnee State. They are:

From Greenfield – Marisa Hike, fine arts; and Madison Ratcliff, English humanities

From Hillsboro – Clay Broughton, information systems management; Samantha Fender, occupational therapy; Tayler Graham, fine arts; Cody Henderson, health care administration; Brad Mullenix, health care administration; Chelsey Thompson, mathematical sciences; and Jenika Watson, physical therapist assistant.

From Lynchburg – Hannah Burns, fine arts.

From Seaman – Rylee Copas, psychology; Kate Shupert, early childhood preK-3 education; Kevin Smart, management.

To be named on the list, students must be enrolled full-time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Shawnee State University is located in Portsmouth. The school offers more than 80 bachelor’s and associate degree programs and three master’s degree programs.
