Snyder named Educational Administrator of Year

Great Oaks Career Campuses President/CEO Harry Snyder traveled to Columbus to see Great Oaks administrative assistant Mary Beth Smith be installed as resident of the Education Office Professionals of Ohio (EOPO). When he arrived, he found that he was also being honored – as EOPO’s Educational Administrator of the Year.

“Mr. Snyder spends hours each week sitting in classrooms and connecting with students and teachers,” said award nominator Becky Beckstedt. “He uses this first-hand knowledge to continually improve the programs we offer as well as the environment itself. As the leader of a large career-technical institution, he understands that continued success depends on serving the needs of our communities. Mr. Snyder manages to be everywhere. He sits on numerous boards that include schools, colleges, non-profit organizations, Rotary, chambers of commerce and business and educational associations. He has testified on educational issues before committees in both the Ohio Legislature and the US Congress.”

Snyder, of Batavia, has been president/CEO of Great Oaks Career Campuses since 2014.

Great Oaks is a public career-technical school system serving 36 school districts in southwest Ohio.
