First State announces promotions

The executive team at First State Bank has announced the following personnel changes. These changes will be effective the week of July 10, 2017.

Shalana Shreffler has been named human resources manager and will serve as part of the executive management team. Shreffler, a resident of Seaman, joined the company in 2008. Over the years she has worked as a customer service representative and office manager and most recently as executive assistant to CEO Mike Pell and CFO David Richey. In 2015, she was appointed to serve the board of directors and shareholders in an administrative capacity. Shreffler is a 2016 graduate of the Leadership Adams program and will be attending the Bank Leadership Institute at the Ohio Bankers League in 2017-2018.

Whittnie Edingfield has been named the banking center manager of Seaman. A graduate of West Union High School and an Adams County resident, Edingfield started her career at First State Bank in 2004. Over the years she has worked as a call center representative and as a customer service representative at multiple banking center locations. In 2015, she was promoted to office manager of the Seaman Banking Center and then in 2016 became the office manager of the West Union Banking Center.

Edingfield will work with Taryn Manning, who will move as office manager from the Winchester location to the Seaman location. Justin Schmitz, will move from Seaman to the Winchester location and will act as office manager with Bethany Pistole. Both Manning and Schmitz are residents of Adams County.

Paige Daulton has been named office manager of the West Union location. Daulton is a graduate of North Adams High School and the University of Cincinnati. A resident of Winchester, Daulton joined First State Bank in 2015 and over the years has worked as a customer service representative, a management trainee and the Hillsboro office manager.

Diana Grooms has been named the banking center manager of Hillsboro. A graduate of Peebles High School, she went on to attend Southern State Community College and American Intercontinental University. In 2006, she joined the team at First State Bank. Over the years, she has worked at the company in a variety of roles including customer service, loan support and employee training. In 2015, she was named the office manager for the Mt. Orab Banking Center and in 2016 was named the banking center coordinator where she acted as a liaison for all First State Bank locations.

We have a great team in place and they are thrilled to be serving their communities in their new roles.”
