Hillsboro FFA food booth

0

Each year the Hillsboro FFA has a food booth at the Highland County Fair, the food booth has been a longstanding tradition since the 1960s. Each year, members volunteer their time in the booth during the week. Items such as breakfast sandwiches, pork tenderloin sandwiches and a variety of milkshakes are sold.

By working in the food booth, members learn responsibility, how to count change, and improve their customer service skills. Each year members work hard to improve the booth to satisfy and attract more customers.

The FFA food booth is a good way for new members to get to know other students in the chapter by spending time with them during a shift.

A new FFA member, Chaya Hensley, stated, “Working in the food booth was an amazing experience being able to witness the fair in a different perspective and working with hardworking people along the way,”

Another member, Adah Carrozza, said, “Working in the FFA food booth was a good learning experience for future jobs.”

The food booth gives members experience in leadership and communication skills.

Thank you to all who supported the Hillsboro FFA at the Highland County Fair.
