McClain HI-Y recognized

The McClain High School HI-Y is organized and met requirements for recognition as an HI-Y for the 2017-18 school year. Rachel Poynter is adviser to the group with Elissa Grate serving as elected president for the HI-Y. They have enthusiastic students ready for a full year of civic leadership, service, and good times with a purpose.

McClain is Ohio’s longest serving HI-Y. It was first established in 1928.

The Ohio-West Virginia Youth Leadership Association, along with McClain HI-Y and many others are working together to help the next generation become prepared and engaged citizens.
