Mowrystown junior high team second in the nation at FFA Convention

The Mowrystown FFA Chapter traveled to Indianapolis, Ind. on Oct. 24 to start the week off for the 90th National FFA Convention and Expo. On the 24th members participated in the National FFA Knowledge Quiz. The Junior/Senior team placed 25th in the nation. The freshman/sophomore team placed 17th in the nation and the junior high team placed second in the nation. Throughout the week members went to sessions where got to listen to keynote speaker Laila Ali, retiring addresses from the national officers, and to see their own Caitlin Frazer walk across the stage to receive her American Degree. Members also got to participate in fun activities throughout the week including the Buckeye Bash, Great Times Family Fun Park, a tour at Elanco Animal Health, Indy Children’s Museum, a Rascal Flatts concert, the Expo and Trade Center at the convention hall, Fair Oaks Dairy Adventure, Wolf Park, and many great restaurants.
