The Southern State Community College Theatre Company will hold auditions for the reader’s theatre winter production of “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron.

Open to community members and students, auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive in Hillsboro.

According to a press release, the production is “A play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memories covering all the important subjects – mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses, and why we only wear black.”

It is based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman. The production will feature an all-female cast.

Those interested in auditioning will be asked to cold read from the script.

Those who are interested in auditioning but are unavailable to attend the audition date can contact Rainee Angles at [email protected] to schedule an alternate audition date prior to Dec. 1.

“Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” directed by Bronwyn Jones, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.
