Humphries in campus ministry

Marissa Humphries of Hillsboro is a member of Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at Ashland University. Humphries is majoring in intervention specialist mild moderate.

The Newman Student Organization of Ashland University is a welcoming faith community rooted in the Catholic tradition. Through service, faith sharing, education, worship, personal relationships and celebration, the organization strives to foster the spiritual growth of all students and the Ashland University community. It is the organization’s vision that the community is enhanced and strengthened by each individual’s unique gifts and involvement.

Buddelmeyer on newspaper staff

Sarah Buddelmeyer, a marine science major from Leesburg, is one of nine Coastal Carolina University students that have taken over leadership positions at The Chanticleer student newspaper Archarios, the student literary and art magazine; and Tempo, a features magazine.

These student-run publications provide current information, art, culture and opinion pieces to Coastal’s campus and give students the opportunity to experience industry publishing first hand.

The Chanticleer is a digital newspaper that publishes a print edition monthly.

Walker Physican of Year

Nathan Walker, a 1993 graduate of Hillsboro High School, has been named the Christie Clinic 2018 Physician of the Year. As a physician in the Department of Internal Medicine, Walker diagnoses and treats non-surgical illnesses in adults. The Christie Clinic is located in Savoy, Ill.
