Fairfield FFA steps up for Milk Challenge

0

The Fairfield FFA Chapter was challenged by the McClain FFA to the 10 Gallon Milk Challenge. This challenge encourages groups or organizations to buy 10 gallons of milk and donate them to local charities. This is to show support to dairy farmers, who are facing hard times in their industry. Dairy farmers are facing low income and in worst cases, losing their farms due to low dairy prices. Today, dairy farmers are paid much less than the cost of production and are losing profit. The Fairfield FFA chapter doubled the amount of milk they were challenged to and bought 20 gallons to donate to the Leesburg Community Center. The milk donated will be given to local families in need. The Fairfield FFA has challenged the Fairbanks FFA, Mowrystown FFA, Fairfield Local School Board of Education, Fairfield Local JRC Club, Miami Trace FFA, and the Highland County Jr. Fair Board.
