The Hillsboro Uptown Business Association is look for contestants for its eighth annual Snowflake Pageant.

The pageant is Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Southern State Community College Auditorium in Hillsboro. Contestants should arrive at 6 p.m. All contestants are required to attend the rehearsal. You do not have to wear your gown, but the committee will be running through talents and pageant order.

Following are some of the pageant details:

* The pageant is open to female residents of Ohio from ages 4-18.

* The pageant is open to male residents of Ohio from ages 4-10.

* Princess and queen age groups are required to perform a talent.

* The entry fee of $25 must be paid on or before Nov. 13.

* The decision of the judges is final.

* No flip flops are to be worn.

* Any 2017 first place winners may not participate, but may crownthe new winner.

* Winners will receive tiaras, crowns, a sash, and cash prizes.

* Applicants must be unmarried and not have children.

* Applications can be picked up at local uptown Hillsboro businesses.
