The 4-H program offers many projects that members can participate in. Take a moment to look over the list of projects available. If you have an area that is of interest to you, a self-determined project can be developed.
4-H is much more than just animals and home economics projects. 4-H has opened the program to many STEM projects. It has a robotic project which is very challenging. Projects like Science with Kitchen Chemistry, Solar Energy, and Rockets are just a few available.
Leadership projects are available for those who want to develop their leadership experiences for future opportunities. The program has a project to prepare a youth for the workforce. If you like animals, but are unable to have a large animal, 4-H has projects for pocket pets such as guinea pigs, cats and dogs.
If you like to do scrapbooking, taking pictures, genealogy, or writing, 4-H has a project. This is just a small list of the projects available. There are 4-H clubs that are working to help young people to personally grow.
If 4-H sounds like a program you would be interested in, contact the Highland County Extension Office for more details at 393-1918.
