Adena offering nursing camp

0

Adena Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with the United Way, is hosting its second annual nursing-focused summer camp. Nursing Camp is open to high school students with an interest in a nursing or medical career.

This unique, three-day camp allows students to experience life as a nurse through a variety of opportunities. Students will be given the opportunity to shadow nurses in specialty areas such as: the Adena Cancer Center, Critical Care, Emergency Services, Information Technology, Outpatient Family Medicine, Surgical Services, and Women and Children Services.

Students will also earn basic life support certification (CPR) and gain a better overall understanding of health care career options.

Due to the popularity of 2018 nursing camp, open to students who will be freshman and sophomores this fall, two sessions will be offered this year.

The first sesssion is June 10-12 and the second session is July 8-10. Both sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

To apply, visit adena.org/nursingcamp. Applications must be received by May 14.
