Hillsboro 8th graders visit Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg

One-hundred and twelve members of the Hillsboro Middle School eighth grade class went to Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg, Pa. fromn May 7-10. While in Washington, D.C. the students toured the following monuments and memorials: the Lincoln Memorial, FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, MLK Memorial, Korean Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, World War II Memorial, and Marine Memorial. In addition, students toured Mount Vernon, The U.S. Capitol, The Smithsonian of Air and Space, The Smithsonian of American History, the National Cathedral, and Gettysburg. Students stopped at the White House for pictures.
