On Jan. 31, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter treated 26 members to lunch and bowling at Highland Lanes.
The members got to take off a half a day of school and played two games of bowling for their fruit sale incentive. In past years, the members’ incentive for selling fruit was to have a drawing for a selection of prizes or go to the movies. This year, the members voted to go bowling for their fruit sale incentive.
To be awarded this incentive, members had to participate in the chapter’s annual fruit sale fundraiser. The chapter will use the money made from the fundraiser to hold the annual banquet ceremony, attend camps, and also help with expenses for trips. The goal for each member was to sell more than $350 in fruit or sell to 12 different customers.
Greenhand member, Breanna Cooper, said, ¨Our fruit sale incentive trip was very successful and everyone had a great time.”
On behalf of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter, we would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed in the FFA Chapter’s annual fruit sale fundraiser.
