HHS kitchen staff honored by FFA

0

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter recently held its annual banquet to recognize members, supporters, parents and alumni. During the award ceremony, the chapter recognized its Honorary FFA Degree recipient.

It is always a pleasure to receive honorary members into the FFA. The purpose of this ceremony is to recognize, from time to time, the efforts others have made on the behalf of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter. Honorary members include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of boards of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members, business people, and others who have helped advance agricultural education and the FFA and who have rendered outstanding service. They may be elected to honorary membership by a majority vote of the members present at a regular meeting or convention.

This year’s honorary degree recipients were the Hillsboro High School kitchen staff members which include Kim Collins, Karen Knisley, Amy Bieler, Candy Cole, Anna Aber, Teresa Cox, Matilda Burns and Carrie Carey. They have offered their time and effort to support the members of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter.

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter is very grateful for the kitchen staff. They devoted so much of their time to the chapter, and are always up for providing and packing lunches every time the chapter hosts a meeting.
