Highland County Christian Women meet

0

Members of the Highland County Christian Women (HCCW) held their April gathering at the Peace Lutheran Church. The guest speaker was Cathy Griffith of the Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center (SOPC) in Hillsboro.

The SOPC’s ministry is to educate and work with young parents who often have few supports and resources. Believing everyone deserves a second chance, all of SOPC’s services are free. More than 4,000 women and men have been helped since 1991. The SOPC wants these parents to learn how to be good parents and how important they are to their children.

The HCCW then discussed possible gift ideas for the upcoming Mother’s Day.

Highland County Christian Women is a faith-based Christian organization whose purpose is to assist and aid the needs of Highland County citizens. Women of all churches are invited to join. Workshops are held in the evening on the second Monday of the month at an area church building. The May 2021 meeting will be at the Peace Lutheran Church on Harry Sauner Road.
