Mr. and Mrs. Morris Allen Massey Jr. of Kosciusko, Mississippi have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lauryl Ellan Massey, to Taylor William Lewis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lynn Lewis of Hillsboro.

Miss Massey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Massey of McCool, Mississippi and Mrs. Ava Malone and the late Mr. Morris Malone of Carthage, Mississippi.

Miss Massey is a 2013 graduate of Kosciusko High School and a 2015 graduate of Holmes Community College. She graduated from Millsaps College in 2018, where she received a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and cognitive studies with a concentration in physiology and biochemistry, and double minors in biology and psychology.

Miss Massey is employed at the Mississippi State Treasure’s Office where she is the executive assistant to the deputy state treasurer.

Mr. Lewis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Plummer of Leesburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lewis of Hillsboro.

Mr. Lewis is a 2010 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2014 graduate of Morehead State University. He received a bachelor’s degree in government with an emphasis in regional analysis and public policy, and a minor in philosophy.

Mr. Lewis serves as the executive director of the Mississippi Republican Party.
