Canine Commaders compete at state fair

The Canine Commanders 4-H Club members participating at the Ohio State Fair were Kyah Chaney, Kaylei Sanderson, Kourtney May, Jayah Chaney and Emma Sanderson. Kyah Chaney placed second in Novice B with her miniature Australian Shepherd, Neptune, and third in dog skillathon in the 16-year-old category. Kaylei Sanderson placed first in Intermediate Showmanship A with her Aussiedoodle, Codi. May placed second in Beginner Novice B and third in Rally Novice B with her golden retriever, Caprice. Jayah Chaney placed first in Pre Novice with her poodle, Tieko; 2nd in dog skillathon for 11-year-olds, fourth in Junior Showmanship B, and earned her second Ohio State Fair Dog Champion Exhibitor Award. Emma Sanderson placed second in intermediate Showmanship B and fourth in Beginner Novice B, with her sheepadoodle, Max, and earned her first Ohio State Fair Dog Champion Exhibitor Award. Not pictured is Sara Newsome, who placed second in the dog skillathon in the 17-year-old category.
