The Highland County Board of Commissioners proclaimed May as Poppy Month at its weekly Wednesday morning meeting. Dwight Reynolds, the senior vice at the Highland County VFW, said it’s been two years since the organization has been able to do the Poppy sales because of COVID-19. He said he wanted people to know that all of the money collected stays local. Pictured (l-r) are commissioners Dave Daniels and Jeff Duncan; Reynolds; Roy Geiger; and commissioner Terry Britton.
