The Highland County Chamber of Commerce held its 26th annual dinner entitled Party on the Lawn on Thursday, June 23, on the lawn of the Scott House in Hillsboro. Over 200 guests came out to enjoy an evening of networking on the lawn of the historic building which has housed the Chamber for the past couple years.

Dinner was provided by All Seasons Catering, Batter Up Bakery, Cow-A-Burger, Farm House Catering, and Ponderosa.

Highlights of the evening include comments made by Chamber President Melissa Elmore. A financial report was given by Steve Thompson, and a few words from board president Lynn Steven. Matt Appenzeller, the executive director of the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance, gave a presentation on the benefits of the Chamber of Commerce and what it can do to help businesses. Pastor Greg Roberts gave the benediction. The evening ended with drawings for gift baskets from local businesses.

Though the event started with a torrential downpour, the rain did not dampen the spirits of the party goers. Everyone enjoyed the fantastic food from local caterers, wine and beer from Larry’s Party Shop, and a photo booth,
