The Hillsboro FFA held its July meeting at Ashley and Taylor Chaney’s house. For many, this meeting marks the beginning of another year in the FFA. For incoming freshmen and first-year members, it provides an opportunity to meet their fellow FFA members as well as their advisers, with whom they will be spending much time throughout the coming school year. Forty-two members and guests attended the meeting. After an introduction of advisers, officers, and new members, various games were played, including everything from cornhole to Drip, Drip, Splash, a water version of Duck, Duck, Goose in which one is more than likely to have a pitcher of water poured on their head at some point. Pizza was served and after dark the members gathered around a campfire for s’mores.
