Two people were arrested and a methamphetamine lab was allegedly recovered Tuesday after police officers went to a Hillsboro residence to look for a wanted person.

The Hillsboro Police Department said that officers located a meth lab at a residence in the 100 block of West Pleasant Street at 2:41 a.m. The officers were at the residence looking for a person wanted on a warrant.

While officers were checking a building on the property for the wanted person they located a one-pot meth lab along with other items used in the manufacture of methamphetamines, the police department said.

Richard L. Price III, 40, was arrested and charged with illegal assembly of chemicals, a third-degree felony.

Heather Tankersly, 37, was also arrested on a warrant from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.

Both suspects remained incarcerated Wednesday afternoon at the Highland County Justice Center.
