The Thompson Funeral Homes of Hillsboro and Sinking Spring have announced that they part of the nearly 1,000 exclusive veterans and family memorial care funeral home providers across America participating in the ninth annual VFMC Christmas Stocking for Soldiers initiative.

From now through Dec. 7, stop by the funeral home and pick up a free Christmas stocking to take home, decorate and stuff with Christmas cheer. You will receive a list of recommended items along with the free stocking. The funeral home will deliver the stockings at its expense to the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.

“Sending our heroes some good tidings and holiday cheer is a great way for us to show our support and appreciation for the sacrifices they have made to keep our country safe and secure,” said Steve Thompson, owner of the funeral homes.

You may stop by the funeral home from now through Dec. 7 on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up your free Christmas stocking. The Thompson Funeral Home is located at 241 E. Main St., Hillsboro.
