Highland County Day at Ballpark deadline June 11

The deadline to purchase tickets for the Highland County Day at the Ballpark is June 11 for the game at Great American Ball Park on July 17 between the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians.

Betty Bishop, who is spearheading the ticket drive for the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, said ticket sales have to be cut off on June 11 in order for her and other Chamber officials to get everything turned into the Reds by June 17.

The game is a 7:10 p.m. contest on Friday, July 17.

The Chamber’s goal is to sell 1,000 tickets. If that happens, Chamber board chairman David Fauber will throw out the first pitch.

There are three price ranges for tickets. A $27 ticket gets the buyer a seat in the moon/sun deck, a $17 ticket gets a seat in the lower view level and an $11 ticket provides seating in the view level.

Bishop said only a few bus tickets are left for those who want to travel to the game that way, and those tickets can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce at the Scott House on a first-come, first-served basis.

On July 17 the bus will pick up in Greenfield at 4:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Medical Building parking lot at 1355 Jefferson St. The pickup time in Hillsboro is 5 p.m. at the Scott House 338 W. Main St.

The bus tickets are an additional $20, and passengers will ride a Croswell bus to and from the game.

Game tickets are available for purchase through June 11 at the following locations: NCB in Hillsboro (two locations); Southern Hills Community Bank in Leesburg, Greenfield and Lynchburg; First State Bank in Hillsboro; Old Y Restaurant on U.S Route 62 south of Hillsboro; Corner Health Mart Pharmacy in Greenfield; DeSha’s in Greenfield; West Main Urgent Care in Hillsboro; and the chamber offices.

Any business wanting to know more about its options can call Bishop at 937-763-1627. Anyone wanting more information on the outing or tickets can call Bishop or the chamber offices at 937-393-1111.
