An 1858 cast iron bean pot manufactured by the C.S. Bell Company in Hillsboro will be among items auctioned at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 8, from the main stage at the Festival of the Bells.
Festival entertainment chairman Rick Williams said Wednesday that other auction items will include three Henn baskets with festival medallions from 2007, when Hillsboro was celebrating its bicentennial during the event.
Additionally, Aubrey Robinson, banking center manager for First Financial Bank in Hillsboro, said three wooden bell replicas crafted by Olde Cellar will also be donated by the bank to be auctioned on July 8. Robinson said that since joining the festival committee in March, she had been exploring ways for the bank to contribute to the event.
“First Financial is a community bank, and we wanted to get involved,” she said.
All items will be autographed by the headlining entertainers at the festival, Brett Young, William Michael Morgan and Danny Gokey.
Christian music star Gokey will perform on Thursday, July 6, Morgan on Friday, July 7 and Young on Saturday, July 8, all beginning at 9 p.m.
In addition to his hit song, “In Case You Didn’t Know,” Young is a nominee for ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year and had a hit with “Sleeping Without You,” among other songs.
Morgan is known for his hit “I Met A Girl,” as well as several other songs.
Gokey had the No. 1 hit on Christian Air Play earlier this year with “Rise.”
