Health department: Remember to wash hands at fair

0

The Highland County Health Department said in a press release that it “reminds fairgoers to enjoy the fair, but to wash their hands.”

The health department has partnered with the Senior Fair Board to provide handwashing and sanitizing stations in various spots around the fairgrounds.

“The health department would like to remind all fairgoers to remember to wash their hands often, especially when in and around livestock areas,” according to the release.

Frequent handwashing leads to a lesser risk of spreading germs and sickness to other fair patrons and animals, the department said.

“Enjoy the rest of the fair, and remember to visit the health department booth in the Merchant’s Building,” the release stated.
