The names of two young men who were shot and killed early Friday morning in apparently related incidents near New Vienna were released Saturday by Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera.

The man who was shot during a home invasion on Powell Road was Tyler South, 21, of Dayton, Barrera said in a release.

The man found dead inside a nearby vehicle on Powell Road was identified as Jaydon Boggs, 18, also from Dayton, according to Barrera.

Boggs was found with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

An investigation continues.
