The Hillsboro Garden Club has announced the winners of its annual local landscaping recognition program. The winners are noteworthy and were selected by the membership.

The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs has developed this slate of landscape award categories: Community — “Round About” on Harry Sauner Road by Dean Ottworth, Highland County Engineer; Community Commercial — Treewood Apartments at 808 Treewood Drive off SR 73; and Residential — Brenda DeLong and Friend, 232 E. Walnut St.; John “Buck” Wilkin Jr., 7980 U.S. Route 50; and John Glaze, 207 W. Pleasant St.

“Our community is better for their efforts in beautifying and preserving a total well-kept properties,” the garden club said in a news release. “They will receive a framed certificate from Hillsboro Garden Club.”
