The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 9

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Phillip Davis, 25, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

INCIDENTS

The police department responded to the 500 block of South High Street to recover abandoned property. While on scene officers located instruments commonly used to abuse drugs. The owner was identified as Cameron McConehea, 21, of Hillsboro. McConehea was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Oct. 11

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

James R. Byers, 33, of Columbus, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Ashton Morris, 25, of Greenfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

INCIDENTS

At 5:13 p.m., a female came in to the police department advising she had been assaulted by her boyfriend at their residence. The female was brought in by a passerby who witnessed the assault occur in the front yard. After further investigation, it was found that the male, Billy R. Hammond Jr., 51, of Leesburg, had assaulted the female and threatened her with a camping knife. Hammond was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

Oct. 13

INCIDENTS

Aat 7:38 a.m., the police department responded to the 100 block of Tower Drive for a report of a possible drug overdose. After further investigation, Charles M. Davis, 27, of Hillsboro, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and transported to the Highland County Jail.

Oct. 14

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Brenda Davis, 38, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Charles Roberts, 29, of Mt. Orab, was issued a citation for driving in marked lanes.
