Through the week ending Oct. 20, the following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring longterm lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Highland County. For statewide information regarding road conditions affected by weather, construction, maintenance or accidents, visit ODOT on the web at www.Ohgo.com

As part of a realignment/widening project between SR 73 and SR 124, Prospect Road is closed between Bennington Road and Pigeon Roost Road. The intersecting roadways may also be affected by this closure, and traffic is being detoured locally. The completion date for the entire project is summer of 2019.

SR 138 has been reopened between McWilliams Road and SR 753 following a bridge replacement project. Crews have minor finished work to complete; however, there should be little to no impact to motorists, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.

U.S. Route 50 has been reopened to two lanes of traffic between Spickard Road and Danville Road following a bridge replacement project. Crews have minor finished work to complete; however, there should be little to no impact to motorists, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.

U.S. Route 62 is reduced to one, 10-foot lane between Selph Road and Surber Lane, approximately one mile north of Hillsboro, for a bridge replacement project. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals, and the project is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall.

FRIDAY, OCT. 26: SR 138 will be closed for a single-day culvert replacement project. Crews will be replacing two culverts located between Selph Road and Stoney Point Road, approximately two miles east of Hillsboro. The route will be closed from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 62, SR 28 and SR 771.
