Easy green pepper casserole

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying all these great recipes sent in by all these great cooks and bakers in Highland County. This week in Sharon’s kitchen I have Judith Farquer sharing her green pepper casserole dish with all of us. Judith is longtime friend and a great cook. She says this recipe is delicious!

Green Pepper Casserole

1 lb. ground beef

1 onion chopped

4-5 green peppers chopped

1/2 cup long grain rice

1/2 cup water

1 jar marinara sauce or your choice

Cheese

Brown the beef. I put garlic salt or powder on it while browning. Add the remaining ingredients.

Use a two-quart baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. I cover with foil. Take out and sprinkle with cheese of your choice. Put back in for five minutes. Enjoy.
