Salty Gypsy holds grand opening

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce welcomed The Salty Gypsy Boutique with a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9.

Owner Lisa Faber started an online graphic T-shirt business in 2014 and quickly expanded to custom graphic T-shirt designs for boutiques all over the country. She currently makes shirts for several local businesses and has recently been chosen to make the T-shirts for Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins.

Faber is also unique in the fact that she and her team print all of the T-shirts in Hillsboro using a direct to garment printer.

“I have spent years testing the wear and comfort until I found the right one for my customers,” Faber said. “We strive to have high quality clothing lines at reasonable prices. The Salty Gypsy Boutique T-shirts are super soft and comfy. I always say they will be your next favorite T-shirt.”

With the success she has experienced she decided to bring it closer to home and opened the Salty Gypsy Boutique inside Wild Mane Salon, LLC in uptown Hillsboro in September of 2018. The Salty Gypsy Boutique offers not only graphic T-shirts, but also trendy and stylish clothing that caters to all sizes, other items made in Hillsboro like car coasters, can coolies, and even graphic printed hats, and in October she added a children’s line.

The Salty Gypsy Boutique also offers ladies nights out that include after hours shopping and a chance to let your creative side shine. Like the page on Facebook to stay up to date on the events coming. The business can also be reached online at www.saltygypsyboutique.com.

Normal hours are Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. T-shirts are available online at the website. A full-fledged online boutique is coming in 2019.
