The Leesburg Lions Club announced the winners of its annual Home Decorating Contest held during Leesburg Luminaria Night on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The judge was Lions District Governor Lydia Houser from Dayton, who made a special trip to judge this event. The home winners have been invited to the club’s January meeting and will receive a $50 award.
The Fister’s house at 10378 Thomas Road was chosen as Leesburg’s Out of Town winner. Their home was decorated in front with a blaze of Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, and Leesburg Lions Club luminaria candles lined the driveway up to their house with a nativity scene. An extra special treat was the in-door display of a village at Christmas time. You are invited to stop by anytime during the holidays to view the set up that takes nearly a whole room and has a working train that travels around the village.
The Edwards’ home at 146 Locust St. in Leesburg was chosen as the Leesburg In Town winner. Their decorations lit up the yard around their home and roof and Leesburg Lions Club luminaria candles lined the drive.
