A Hillsboro man who appeared for a review hearing Monday in Hillsboro Municipal Court was scheduled for a probation violation hearing and placed on a bond.

According to court records, Joshua Finnegan, 28, appeared for reviews on three past cases. His most recent convictions were for driving on a suspension and disorderly conduct, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Last month, a warrant was issued for Finnegan’s arrest after an affidavit was filed by the probation department. Records showed that his bond was set at $7,500 at that time.

On Monday, Finnegan appeared for a review hearing and a $7,500 bond was again set on his case. A probation violation hearing is scheduled for next week, record add.

According to the municipal court, the alleged violation involves failure to comply with the probation department.

A bond was also set for Kyle Robinson, 29, Lynchburg, after he appeared on a bench warrant. According to records, Robinson is charged with a turn signal violation and driving without a license, both unclassified misdemeanors.

Records show that Robinson was originally scheduled for a court trial last month. On Monday, his court trial was rescheduled for this Thursday. His bond on that case was set at $1,000. In addition, a $2,500 bond was set on a possible probation violation. According to records, Robinson was convicted of first-degree misdemeanor theft in 2011.

Records added that several warrants have been issued for Robinson’s arrest since his conviction, with jail time imposed and furloughed at different times.

Also appearing on a bench warrant was Tommy Kimball, 35, Leesburg. Records show that he was convicted of second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest in 2013.

The warrant he appeared on Monday was issued over two years ago after the probation department filed an affidavit, records add.

A $1,000 bond was set for Kimball. According to records, Kimball will be placed on electronic monitoring house arrest if he posts that bond.

Kimball was also arraigned on first-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging. A pretrial for that case is set for Nov. 20, records show.
