A culvert replacement project has been scheduled for SR 124 in Highland County, requiring closure of the route two days next week.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12 and 13, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County maintenance facility will close SR 124 at Prospect Road during daytime, working hours to replace a deteriorated culvert at the routes’ junction.

The route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, Tuesday and Wednesday, with it open to evening and overnight travel. Prospect Road will remain open during the first day of the project; however, it will be closed at SR 124 on Wednesday, March 13.

During periods of closure, motorists will be detoured via SR 73 and SR 41.
