The Hillsboro City School District has announced that five Hillsboro Elementary fifth grade students, who are active members of the Fuel Up to Play 60 team, completed the National FUTP60 Summit application and have been awarded $1,875 in scholarships by the Midwest Dairy Council to attend the 2019 FUTP60 Summer Summit in Cleveland. Those members are Dylan B., Hannah K., Taylor T., Kayla S. and Kobie M. Also, Kayla S. has been named a State Summit Student Ambassador and only three are chosen in Ohio. While her tuition to attend the summit is covered, the other students must pay to attend as student ambasssadors. To help fund some of the tuition costs, the school is selling FUTP60 gear including T-shirts, pedometers and headbands. Order forms are available at Hillsboro Elementary if you are interested in supporting the students. For questions, contact Jessica Walker at 937-393-3132.
