Construction for a culvert replacement project on SR 28 in Ross County will begin this week, with contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation mobilizing crews Tuesday.

On Monday, June 3, SR 28 was closed between Halley Road and Porter Hollow Road, just west of the community of Lattaville, for crews from Allard Excavation to replace the 108-foot corrugated metal pipe.

The closure will be in effect for up to 60 days, and throughout construction motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. Route 50 and SR 41.

Allard Excavation LLC was awarded a contract for approximately $575,453 to replace the culvert, and all work is scheduled to be completed by late summer.
