The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

ARREST/CITATION

Fulton Purcell, 57, of Hillsboro, was cited for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.

ACCIDENT

At 4:04 p.m., the police department responded to the area of Harry Sauner at North High Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, it was determined that Ashley Reveal, 34, of Leesburg, was stopped in eastbound traffic on Harry Sauner Road while Mya Spires, 19, of Ripley, was traveling eastbound and failed to stop as they were approaching stopped traffic causing Spires’ vehicle to strike the rear end of Reveal’s vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene. Spires was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
