The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

March 14

ARREST/CITATIONS

Donna Robinson, 55, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension.

Mark Warner, 60, of Lancaster, was cited for driving under suspension.

March 15

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Ethan Williams, 20, of Hillsboro, was issued a citation for fail to yield to an emergency vehicle with activated overhead lights.

Chad Davidson, 33, of Hillsboro, was issued citations for driving under suspension and fictitious plates and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

ACCIDENT

At 12:10 a.m., the police department responded to the area of East Main Street and Barry Street in reference to a one-car crash. Upon an officer’s arrival it was determined that Jaqueline Deardoff, 25, of Hillsboro, was traveling eastbound on East Main Street passing Barry Street when her vehicle crossed the westbound lane of traffic and went off the roadway. Due to markings on the roadway it is estimated that the vehicle continued to travel westbound through the grass and struck an underground culvert. No injuries reported on the scene. Deardoff was charged with OVI and failure to maintain control and was transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

INCIDENT

At 3:18 a.m., officers with the police department responded to a business in the 1200 block of North High Street to investigate a suspicious person complaint. Shortly into the investigation a male, later identified as Keith Ritchie III, 18, of Lynchburg, fled the scene in a motor vehicle leading officers on a short pursuit resulting in the male crashing his vehicle. No injuries were reported on scene. Ritchie was charged with failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, driving under suspension, OVI, reckless operation and failure to maintain control. He was was transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
