Firefighters battle Fenner Road blaze

A detached garage was ruled a total loss following a fire Tuesday at 6990 Fenner Rd., near the intersection of SR 124. Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District Lt. Branden Jackman said the district received a call reporting the fire at 4:27 p.m. and that upon arrival firefighters found the garage heavily engulfed in flames in the attic area. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Jackman said it is not considered suspicious. There were no injuries.
