On Wednesday, Nov. 18, the Hillsboro FFA chapter held their annual Greenhand Night to celebrate the induction of new members, or “greenhands,” into their chapter.
This year, 42 students were welcomed as members of the Hillsboro FFA. Each greenhand was given a pin to represent their membership of the organization.
The program was highlighted by a virtual address from Ohio FFA State Secretary Joe Helterbrand. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to attend in person due to COVID-19 regulations, but he provided us with a video to watch.
Helterbrand detailed his time as a member of his high school FFA chapter and was able to connect with the inductees.
The night was a success for the chapter.
“It’s a great feeling to know you are part of something that can bring this many people together,” said greenhand Ashlei Hatfield.
