With construction for a bridge replacement project on SR 247 in Highland County nearly complete, the route has been reopened to traffic.

Crews from the Eagle Bridge Company reopened SR 247 Thursday, June 25, following major operations to replace the bridge situated over Rocky Fork Creek and located at the 11.07-mile marker, approximately one mile south of Hillsboro.

Eagle Bridge of Sidney, Ohio was awarded a contract in the amount of $1.06 million to replace the bridge. Although there is some finishing work to complete, there should be little to no impact to traffic.
