Hillsboro School Board receives gold level honor

The Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education attended the Ohio School Boards Associations Southwest Region Spring Conference held March 8 at Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville. The conference is designed to help local boards of education network with other boards within their region, present a state legislative update, and award districts for their achievements. The Hillsboro City School Board was presented with the Gold Level Effective School Board Award. The Southwest Region is made up of 17 counties and Hillsboro was one of 25 public school boards to receive the highest level of gold. This is the fifth year in a row the Hillsboro has reached this level of achievement. Board member Beverly Rhoads was one of 21 board members in the Southwest Region individually recognized with the OSBA Award of Achievement. This was the ninth time Rhoads has received this award.
