The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Feb. 18

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Ruth Cutright, of Leesburg, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Stephen Weil, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear.

Randall Westfall, of Hillsboro, was cited for OVI, open flask and expired tags.

ACCIDENT

The police department investigated a crash in the 600 block of South High Street. Makayla Middleton, of Hillsboro, had stopped in southbound traffic to make a left turn into a business when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Callie Post, of Hillsboro. Both vehicles received minor damage. Post was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Feb. 19

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Richard A. McComas, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear bench warrant.

Kristen West, of Piketon, was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear bench warrant.

ACCIDENT

The police department investigated a crash on West Main and Oak streets. Kattine Madison, of Sardinia, was traveling westbound on Main Street and attempted to make a left turn onto Oak Street, turning into the path of an eastbound vehicle operated by Andrew Elliott, of Cincinnati. Both vehicles received disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. Madison was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
