Car rolls over in Sinking Springs

Trooper Kyle Prose of the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to an incident involving a 2006 Chevrolet Heritage High Roof that rolled over and hit a group of trees after driving off the right side of State Route 41 a half-mile south of Sinking Springs on Friday, June 10, around 6 p.m.

The driver and four passengers were taken by squad to Highland District Hospital for minor injuries.

The driver was Alexus Ryder, 17, and the passengers were Chelet Bowling, 16, Brooklyn Ewing, 14, Katlin Bowling, 18, and Kholoe Ewing, 12, all of Georgetown.

The road conditions were described as wet and rainy and, following the crash, Ryder was cited with a failure to control the vehicle.
