Hillsboro FFA holds annual cornhole tournament

The Hillsboro FFA held its annual cornhole tournament at the Festival of the Bells. There were 20 teams of two people to each team that participated.

The cost to enter the tournament was $20 per team. The first, second, and third place teams each received a portion of the money. The rest of the money went to the Hillsboro FFA Chapter.

Kaleb Harp and Erin Clark were in charge of putting the event on this year. Members of the chapter brought the cornhole boards from home and a total of 10 sets of boards were brought to be played on. The tournament was set up in a single elimination bracket. The money raised goes toward the activities the chapter pays for throughout the year.

Through fundraisers like these, the chapter can take the price down for students or allow them to go for free or discount prices. Some of these activities include the national convention, state convention, FFA camp, Washington Leadership Conference, etc.
