The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Feb. 6

INCIDENT

At 4:01 p.m., the police department took a report of a stolen vehicle from a business in the 1400 block of North High Street.

Feb. 20

INCIDENT

A t 2:55 p.m., the police department responded to a business in the 900 block of West Main Street after a report of damage to a vehicle. A report was taken.

Feb. 24

ACCIDENT

At 5:11 p.m., the police department responded to a crash in the 1400 block of North High Street. Upon officer arrival, it was found that Emyah F. Zimmerman, 22, of Hillsboro, was operating a Chevrolet coupe, failed to observe traffic was stopped and struck the rear of a vehicle operated by Michael E. Butts, 62, of Hillsboro, who was driving a Mazda sedan.

INCIDENT

At 3:16 p.m., the police department responded to a business in the 500 block of Harry Sauner Road after receiving a call of a reported theft of merchandise. Upon officer arrival, it was found that a, Madison Marie Mick, 18, of Greenfield, had stolen merchandise from the business. Mick was arrested and transported to the Highland County Jail.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Erica Doss, 46, of Hillsboro, citation failure to obey traffic control device.

Foryst Alexander Rios, 21, of Hillsboro, failure to appear warrant and citations for driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

William Humphrey Jr., 47, of Latham, citation driving under suspension.

Feb. 25

ACCIDENT

At 12:11 p.m., the police department responded to a hit-skip crash in the 200 block of Harry Sauner Road. Upon officer arrival it was found that an unknown driver in an unknown vehicle struck the rear of Shelia C. Swafford’s, 55, of Hillsboro, Ford sedan.

Feb. 26

INCIDENT

At 9:20 a.m., the police department responded to a neighbor complaint in the 100 block of South High Street of the neighboring property using the complainant’s parking lot as a bathroom for their dog.

ARRESTS

Stephen L. Debo, 44, of Hillsboro, city income tax summons.

Kevin Lee Wortham, 50, of Hillsboro, criminal trespass and menacing/

STATISTICS

For the week of Feb. 20, the police department received 309 calls, four 911 calls, took 10 offense reports, investigated six traffic crashes, made 15 arrests and completed 81 security checks.
