Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

May 26

INCIDENT

At 8:13 p.m., the police department responded to the 100 block of Crestwood Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, a female and male juvenile were at the neighbor’s residence to get away from an adult male. Both subjects were in a verbal argument over the juvenile. No charges were filed.

ACCIDENT

At 5:07 p.m., the police department responded to the area of North West Street and Pea Ridge Road for the report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival it was determined that Gary Estep, 61, of Hillsboro, was traveling northbound on North West Street at Pea Ridge Road when a vehicle driven by Anita Eury, 61, of Hillsboro, pulled out of the Harper Station Apartments not seeing Estep’s vehicle, causing Eury to strike the right rear bumper of Estep’s vehicle. Both vehicles received minor, non-functional damage and no injuries were reported on the scene. Eury was cited for fail to yield from private property while entering the roadway.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Joshua Stevens, 29, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Jared Cumberland, 27, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a bench warrant.

ACCIDENT

At 3:14 p.m., the police department responded to a business in the 500 block of Harry Sauner Road for a report of a minor two-car crash. Upon arrival, Donald Pierce, of Hillsboro, was backing a vehicle out from a parking space while Robin Smalley of Blanchester was also backing a vehicle out from a parking space at the same time, causing them to back in to one another. Both vehicles had minor damage. No injuries were reported on scene.

May 29

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Nicholas Seely, 25, of Greenfield, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Travis Brown, 38, of Peebles, was arrested on a bench warrant.

INCIDENT

At 3:50 p.m., the police department responded to the 1100 block of Northview Drive for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male and a female who had been in a verbal altercation. The female was attempting to leave the residence and claimed the male, Daniel Fisher, 28, of Hillsboro, was withholding her property. Fisher was arrested at the scene and charged with theft.
