The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:
STATISTICS
The statistics for the week beginning Monday, July 10 through Sunday, July 16 are as follows: The police department received 505 calls (12 – 911), investigated eight crashes, took 13 offense reports, made 19 arrests, and completed 113 security checks.
July 14
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
David Swisshelm, 37. of Hillsboro, was arrested on two outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear.
Jennifer Smith, 35, of Hillsboro, was cited for disorderly conduct.
LeAnn Searls, 48, of Hillsboro, was cited for disorderly conduct.
July 15
ACCIDENT
On Saturday, July 15 the police department investigated a crash at the intersection of an alley and East Beech Street. Betty VanHorn, 59, of Wilmington, was traveling southbound in an alley in the 100 block of East Beech Street when she failed to yield the right of way to traffic on East Beech Street. Robert Griffith, 69, of Hillsboro, was traveling westbound on East Beech Street when his vehicle was struck by VanHorn’s vehicle causing functional damage to both. No injuries were reported. VanHorn was cited for failure to yield.
Also on Saturday, the police department responded to an accident call on Oak Hills Drive. Patricia Rand, 67, of Hillsboro, was backing from a private drive on Oak Hills Drive and struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle owned by Stephen Pence of Hillsboro. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles and Patricia Rand was cited for improper backing.

Tabitha Tolle, 20, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting or threatening.
Jennifer Smith, 35, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting or threatening.
LeAnn Searls, 48, of Hillsboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting or threatening.
Bret Swisher, 42, of Leesburg, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear.
Jessica Lute, 28, of West Union, was cited for failure to obey traffic control device.
